Our Board

Sofiia Bezuhla

Chair

Originally from Ukraine, Sofiia moved to the Netherlands seven years ago and holds a Master's in Quantitative Finance from the University of Amsterdam. This was a foundation that shaped both her analytical mindset and her ambition to build something bigger.

Sofiia didn't set out to build an organization. She set out to help. But the scale of the need, and the scale of the response, made the next step obvious. Within months, a personal mission became a registered NGO with impact across two countries.

Since founding U AID STICHTING, she has served as its Director, leading humanitarian aid efforts, building partnerships between Dutch and Ukrainian institutions, and now directing the Foundation's transition into a new chapter focused on EU-Ukraine cooperation. Beyond the Foundation, Sofiia works as a Strategy Analyst with a background in investment management.

Olga Dokuka

Secretary

With a background in project coordination and community building, Olga has spent the last few years learning how organisations actually work and how to keep them moving.

Originally from Ukraine and based in the Netherlands, she joined U AID STICHTING in its early days and has been part of its growth ever since. Her focus has been on the operational side: coordinating projects, supporting volunteers, and making sure the Foundation's initiatives go from plan to practice.

As a board member, she contributes the same practical mindset keeping things concrete, accountable, and moving in the right direction.

Teymur Alikishibayov

Treasury

Since the foundation of U AID STICHTING, Teymur has been an active member of the organisation, always willing to contribute wherever support was needed.

Originally from Azerbaijan, Teymur moved to the Netherlands seven years ago to study Economics & Business Economics at University of Amsterdam. After successfully graduating from university, Teymur became a Financial Analyst where he gained hands-on experience in budgeting, business control, and financial planning.

As a board member responsible for Treasury, Teymur brings a structured and financially focused perspective to the Foundation, supporting its long-term stability and development.

2025 Progress Report

U AID Stichting continued its mission in 2025 by supporting Ukraine through practical initiatives in education, community engagement, and humanitarian action. During the year, the foundation contributed to the preparation of an Erasmus+ grant application aimed at strengthening Ukrainian higher education and promoting closer cooperation with European institutions. UAID Stichting also organised skills-focused events in the Netherlands for Ukrainian students, helping participants explore digital innovation and career opportunities. Alongside these efforts, the foundation remained committed to humanitarian support and promoting Ukrainian culture through community-led initiatives.
