Originally from Ukraine, Sofiia moved to the Netherlands seven years ago and holds a Master's in Quantitative Finance from the University of Amsterdam. This was a foundation that shaped both her analytical mindset and her ambition to build something bigger.
Sofiia didn't set out to build an organization. She set out to help. But the scale of the need, and the scale of the response, made the next step obvious. Within months, a personal mission became a registered NGO with impact across two countries.
Since founding U AID, she has served as its Director, leading humanitarian aid efforts, building partnerships between Dutch and Ukrainian institutions, and now directing the Foundation's transition into a new chapter focused on EU-Ukraine cooperation.Beyond the Foundation, Sofiia works as a Strategy Analyst with a background in investment management.

Desrciption
UAID Stichting is a Netherlands-based non-profit foundation dedicated to supporting Ukraine’s recovery, development, and closer integration with the European Union. Our core mission is to build meaningful partnerships between Ukrainian and European institutions, communities, and professionals through education, research, and knowledge exchange. We focus on practical initiatives such as conferences, training programmes, collaborative projects, and targeted humanitarian support where needed. Through cooperation and long-term thinking, UAID aims to help create a resilient, connected, and prosperous future for Ukraine.

UAID Stichting continued its mission in 2025 by supporting Ukraine through practical initiatives in education, community engagement, and humanitarian action. During the year, the foundation contributed to the preparation of an Erasmus+ grant application aimed at strengthening Ukrainian higher education and promoting closer cooperation with European institutions. UAID Stichting also organised skills-focused events in the Netherlands for Ukrainian students, helping participants explore digital innovation and career opportunities. Alongside these efforts, the foundation remained committed to humanitarian support and promoting Ukrainian culture through community-led initiatives.
